Have You Seen My Voice? is a gentle children’s story about what it can feel like to live with selective mutism.

She knows the answer in class. She wants to join her friends. She has thoughts, feelings, and so much she wants to say. But sometimes her voice gets very, very quiet—especially when everyone is waiting for her to speak.

Inspired by a real experience with selective mutism, this story was created to help children feel seen and understood while helping parents, teachers, caregivers, and classmates better understand what may be happening behind the silence.

Because having a quiet voice doesn’t mean you don’t have one.
